As a non-profit, we must expand what we do to help our Neighbors
find “Something Worth Saving.”
For 47 years Good Samaritan Ministries (GSM) has been a quiet grassroots ministry helping our
neighbors.
No matter if they could afford to pay for services or not.
Join us as we host our formal Annual Fundraiser Gala and Dinner at the Portland Golf Club. We hope you will participate in our efforts to change and heal the lives of our neighbors, families, and community.

GSM began 47 years ago, when one woman said, “yes” to the call of God to go and teach, “nothing but the Kingdom.” She learned this meant being with one person at a time, looking past their outward behaviors - the way they wore their pain - to the person God had created. It meant listening deeply to the cry of the soul, and helping that individual discover the beauty, and value of the divine original within.
The parable of the Samaritan found in Luke chapter 10, asks the question, “who is my neighbor?” Then goes on to demonstrate what it means to be a neighbor to anyone in need - to be willing to give your life, time, resources, and attention, and to give these expecting nothing in return.
To be a Samaritan, is to pay the price for the healing of another human being.
For these 47 years, GSM has been doing that by offering counseling, groups, teaching and training to anyone who comes to us, regardless of their ability to pay. We then teach those who receive healing to, “go and do likewise.”
Today, Good Samaritan Ministries is growing under the leadership of our International Executive Director, Teresa Stroup, MSW, LCSW. Teresa has touched countless lives as a mental health program manager, counselor trainer, advocate, and program developer.
All who are called are invited to partner with us in our mission to provide healing, restoration, and an encounter with the Kingdom of God to all nations.
